P189C & P17BF Faults in DSG DQ200 Mechatronics
The Issue and How to Repair It Cost-Effectively
The fault codes “P17BF Hydraulic Pump Play Protection Active,” “P084100 Sensor 1 for Hydraulic Pressure Signal Implausible,” and “P189C Pressure Build-Up Insufficient / Function Restriction Due to Low Pressure Build-Up” are already familiar to many DSG drivers.
There are now several ways to repair this problem quickly and cost-effectively.
The issue originates from the pressure accumulator or the housing itself (valve body). Damage can range from burst pressure accumulators to cracks in the mechatronic housing. Leaks are not always visible to the naked eye. All variants of the DQ200 7-speed DSG / S-Tronic transmissions (0AM & 0CW) are affected by this problem.

ATI Pressure Accumulator
The quick & easy Austrian repair solution! In many vehicles, the conversion can be done with the mechatronics installed. The original pressure accumulator is replaced with an ATI pressure accumulator. This kit is also applicable for damaged valve bodies.

Original New Part
Simply replace the entire hydraulic section. We offer only the hydraulic part of the DQ200 mechatronics as a new exchange unit—original new part! All necessary seals are included in the delivery.
