Transmission Control Unit Repair

Automatic transmission not shifting as it should? Fault in the transmission control unit?
We also test and repair transmission control units.

Many spare parts in stock

For common mechatronic variants, we keep a wide range of spare parts in stock – ensuring fast turnaround and processing!

How can a fault become noticeable?

  • Limp mode is active
  • Fault codes stored in the transmission control unit
  • No communication with the transmission control module
  • RPM fluctuations while driving
  • Jerking when the vehicle is warm
  • Irregular shifting behavior
  • Jerky shifting and/or acceleration
  • Engine stalls
  • ...and more

Possible fault symptoms

  • P17BF – Hydraulic pump play protection
  • P189C – Function limitation due to insufficient pressure build-up
  • P0841 – Sensor 1 for hydraulic pressure transmission – implausible signal
  • P1895 – Function limitation due to pressure drop
  • P175D00 – Clutch 1 engages/disengages unintentionally
  • P176E00 – Clutch 2 engages/disengages unintentionally
  • Engine revs increase when accelerating, but the vehicle does not move
  • No communication possible with the control unit
  • Gear disengages while driving
  • Vehicle jerks or shudders when starting or stopping
  • Limp mode is activated
  • RPM fluctuations while driving
  • Gear indicator in the instrument cluster is flashing
  • Other faults on request!
  • Hard shifting or the vehicle moves forward on its own
  • P0726 – Engine speed signal from ECU, implausible signal
  • P17E1 – Gear actuator 2, mechanical fault
  • P17E0 – Gear actuator 1, mechanical fault
  • P173E1 – Solenoid valve 1 in sub-transmission 1, electrical fault
  • P174D1 – Solenoid valve 2 in sub-transmission 2, electrical fault
  • P173F1 – Solenoid valve 2 in sub-transmission 1, electrical fault
  • P174C – Solenoid valve 1 in sub-transmission 2, electrical fault
  • P174B – Solenoid valve 4 in sub-transmission 1, electrical fault
  • P174F – Solenoid valve 4 in sub-transmission 2, electrical fault
  • P179C – Main pressure valve, electrical fault
  • P179D – Cooling oil valve, electrical fault
  • P174A – Solenoid valve 3 in sub-transmission 1, electrical fault
  • P174E – Solenoid valve 3 in sub-transmission 2, electrical fault
  • P1740 – Clutch temperature monitoring
  • P17D8 – Torque limitation due to clutch temperature
  • P176B1 – Gear actuator 2 not controllable
  • P176D – Gear actuator 4 not controllable
  • P176C – Gear actuator 3 not controllable
  • P176A – Gear actuator 1 not controllable
  • P187C – Gear actuator 3 gear engagement unsuccessful
  • P284F00 – Gear actuator 3 failed to leave engagement position
  • P17E200 – Gear actuator 3, mechanical fault
  • Other fault codes upon request!
  • Position sensor for clutch 1
  • Position sensor for clutch 2
